We work across several fields of private law, so you can also come to us for your company’s ongoing legal representation or an employment law problem – but our firm’s primary field is real estate law and transactions in the construction sector, together with the related procedures. We provide full legal representation, from advice through the drafting of documents to representation in administrative and duty assessment procedures.
We aim to help everyone, so private individuals and contractor, investor or property developer companies alike are welcome to contact us. Making full use of the room the legislation allows, we also work to secure our clients the largest possible tax and duty relief.
In every transaction that involves a change in the ownership of a property or in another right registered in the land registry: sale, gift, exchange, termination of co-ownership, creation or deletion of a right of usufruct, and the establishment of a condominium. In these cases the Hungarian land registry only acts on the basis of a private document countersigned by a lawyer or a notarial deed. A lawyer is not mandatory for lease and construction contracts, but is strongly recommended to avoid risks.
“Real estate lawyer” and “property lawyer” are everyday expressions that any lawyer may use. The title of real estate law specialist, by contrast, is a separate qualification (LL.M.) obtained through postgraduate university training. The head of our firm obtained it in 2018 at the University of Debrecen.
No. We receive clients in person in Debrecen and Hajdúböszörmény, but we accept instructions from anywhere in the country online, by video call, and we can prepare contracts for property located in any Hungarian municipality.
When you contact us, we examine the legal status of the property and inform you about how the contract will be concluded, the attorney's fee and the expected costs. If you go on to instruct us, the first consultation is always free.
We draft the appropriate type of contract and provide the lawyer's countersignature.
We provide representation before the land registry authority, the tax authority and – depending on the type of case – any other authority or body.
